Description

A hang-on-back filter hooks over the rear glass, draws water up through an intake and returns it over a waterfall lip. It needs no cabinet space, it is easy to service, and the waterfall return provides good surface agitation and gas exchange.

The media basket is refillable rather than taking proprietary cartridges, so you can run your own sponge and bio-media instead of buying replacement cartridges forever.

Setup notes

• Rated 500 l/h, suited to tanks from 40 to 100 litres.
• Flow is adjustable – turn it down for bettas and long-finned fish.
• The waterfall return does not suit rimless tanks filled to the top; leave 2 cm of clearance.
• Keep the water level above the intake or the pump will run dry.
