Description

Air pumps are usually the noisiest thing in a fish room. This one uses a rubber-damped diaphragm assembly on anti-vibration feet, which keeps it to a low hum rather than the buzz of a cheap pump resonating through a cabinet.

Two independently adjustable outlets let you run a sponge filter and an airstone, or two separate tanks, from one pump.

Setup notes

• Always fit a check valve on each line, and position the pump above the water line. Without both, a power cut can siphon tank water back into the pump.
• Sitting the pump on a folded cloth kills most of the remaining vibration noise.
• Output: 2 x 2 l/min, suitable for tanks up to about 150 litres in total.
