Description

Buying a planted tank piece by piece is how beginners end up with a light that is too weak and a filter that is too strong. This kit is specified as a working system: the light will grow a carpet, the filter turns the volume over four times an hour, and the substrate feeds the plants for a year.

What it does not include is CO2. The plant selection this kit supports – crypts, anubias, java fern, ludwigia – does not need it. Add a CO2 kit later if you move to carpets and demanding stems.
