Description
Bloodworms are the reliable way to get a stressed or newly imported fish to start eating. Freeze drying keeps the shape and most of the nutrition while removing the parasite risk that comes with live-collected worms, and it stores at room temperature.
25 g of freeze-dried worms is a lot – it rehydrates to roughly 250 g of wet weight.
Feeding guide
- Soak in a little tank water for a minute before feeding. Dry worms fed at the surface can cause bloating and buoyancy problems, particularly in fancy goldfish and bettas.
- Feed as a treat two or three times a week, not as a staple. Bloodworms are rich but nutritionally incomplete.
- Excellent for bettas, discus, angelfish, gouramis, loaches and most catfish.
- Keep the tub sealed and dry.
