Description

Chennai municipal water is chlorinated, and chlorine destroys fish gill tissue and kills the bacteria colony in your filter. This is the single non-optional product in the hobby: every drop of tap water that goes into a tank must be dechlorinated first.

Beyond dechlorination it detoxifies copper, lead and other heavy metals found in older plumbing, and temporarily binds ammonia into a non-toxic form – which buys you time during a cycling problem or after a filter failure.

Dosage

• 5 ml treats 50 litres of tap water for routine water changes.
• Double the dose during an ammonia emergency or when chlorine smell is strong.
• Add to the replacement water before it goes into the tank where possible.
• 250 ml treats 2,500 litres – roughly a year of weekly changes on a 2 ft tank.
